Answers to common questions — and a human when you need one.
Do I need an account?
No. Batyr works from the first launch without a signup, and your training is backed up privately to our server, so a reinstall on the same iPhone brings it back. Sign in with Apple or Google (Profile → the account card) for friends, a coach, sharing plans and your other devices.
How do I move to a new phone?
Sign in with Apple or Google on the old phone first, then sign in with the same account on the new one — your training follows. Without an account, the backup belongs to that one phone.
How does Batyr choose my weights?
From the sets you log. When every planned set reaches its reps, the next workout adds weight; the step depends on the exercise and the plan. A new exercise starts with a few sets that find your working weight. Tap Change on any set to log something else.
How do I share a plan?
Open the plan → Share plan: a link, a code or a QR code. The person who opens it starts the plan with weights from their own history. A code also works in the app: Plans → Have a plan code? You can turn a link off any time; plans people already started stay with them.
How do I add a friend or a coach?
Profile → People & access → Invite. Choose friend or coach and what they may see, then send the link or show the QR code. An invite works once and for 7 days. Change what someone sees, or take it back, in People & access.
How do I report a plan, a workout or a person?
Use Report in the menu of the plan, note, workout, photos or person — they aren’t told who sent it — or email us with the plan link or code. To stop someone reaching you, open them in People & access and choose Block — you stop seeing each other, and they can’t invite you again.
Can I import my history from Strong or Hevy?
Yes: Profile → Import from Strong or Hevy, then choose the CSV file the app exported. The file is read on your phone; workouts already in Batyr aren’t added twice.
How do I save workouts to Apple Health?
Profile → Save workouts to Apple Health. Each finished workout is saved as strength training, with heart rate if you wear an Apple Watch. Batyr doesn’t send your heart rate to our server.
How do I delete my data?
Profile → Delete workout data removes your training from your phone and our server — no account needed. Profile → Account → Delete account deletes the whole account. See Delete your account for what goes and what stays.
Is Batyr medical advice?
No. Batyr is a training log. Its targets come from your own logged sets and are not medical or professional advice. Check with a doctor before you start a new training program, and stop if something hurts.
